For money..yes…you can screw us malaysian…. WTH!

One of the reason that I seldom read Malaysia locally published newspaper is because they are all being screened by the government and do not actually published views from different parties so as you can make your own judgment and thus having your own opinion.

If you got time, especially if you’re living near to Kuantan in Pahang.. I think it’s better you begin your plan to move to other city in malaysia because what I read from the following article from NYtimes made me very worry..

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/30/business/global/30rare.html?pagewanted=1&ref=malaysia

Some extract from the article that strike the bull’s eye:

“Nicholas Curtis, the executive chairman of Lynas, said in a telephone interview from Sydney on Monday that the project here met local environmental standards and that he believed those were consistent with international standards. “I have complete confidence in the Malaysian environmental standards and our ability to meet the requirements,” he said.”

Well, almost all malaysian after reading the above statement will understand that there is definitely something wrong …

First of all.. the local standard definitely not consistent and in line with the international standard! Besides, we all knew that, in Malaysia, even the laws are stated there or the standard are there.. the institution may not have the resources or power to enforce it… so…… what I hope is nothing but to pray that anyone with a good heart in the company can minimize the foreseeable future of that region.

BUT THEN, they are here to make money… so?
Fictional character said : “SCREWED U! who care what are the waste behind?? 3 cheers for screwing your home’s back yard… and we’re here to make money and run away!! :P ”

To make you even more worry, some more extract from the article:

“ An engineer involved in the project said that the blueprints called for the plastic waterproofing but that he was ordered to omit it, to save money. The plastic costs $1.60 a square foot, he said.”

….hmm… i think… we’re in a desperate state to lure foreign investment…

Sony Headset bought at SGD69 broken within 9 months

Sony Headset bought at SGD69 broken within 9 months

This is the cheapest neck back headset I found in Jurong Point Sony Style, so I bought it. Well, I won’t expect it to last forever but I do expect it to last more than 1 year..buts……it broken within 9months.

Therefore, I took my time go back to the same shop and found out that anything cost less than $100 for headset is not cover by any warranty(except a first 7 days exchange). WTH! I can easily find an headset selling less than $50 and it’s covered by at least 1 year warranty.

By spending a little bit more, I can even buy a Sennheiser headset with 2 years warranty @ $99 (that’s still less than 100!)

Moral of the story:

DON’T BLINDLY TRUST ANY BRAND;

TRUST ONLY QUALITY PRODUCTS!

Headset from SONY? I scare my spending not justifiable.

Thing i do after Xperia X1 back from service center..and..why it goes to service center so often..

x1-review-x-2 Install touch response (your device will vibrate once it sense a touch on screen) : http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-touchresponse.html

Install SPB Mobile shell 3.5(for your finger to browse all the program in start menu) :  http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/mobileshell/

Disable SMS sent bubble(for faster response after sms sent, it’s a useless notification anyway) : http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/24/enable-or-disable-the-sms-text-message-sent-notification-bubble/

Install CE star (for Chinese input and decode chinese character when browsing website) : http://www.mobem.com/products/CE-Star.php

Sync device back with Outlook so that all contacts and calendar will be back in place.

Install RAR for pocket pc(for extract zip file) : http://www.win-rar.com/download.html

As X1 comes with Opera Mobile browser , else it should also be included in the installation list : http://www.opera.com/mobile/

Install Flash lite 3.1(for flash website) and batti(for a better battery usage indicator) : http://www.modaco.com/content/xperia-x1-x1-modaco-com/274005/pauls-must-have-free-xperia-x1-software/

Diamond keyboards(for your finger and completely ditch stylus) :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426281

Judging from the long list above, it looks like there are still lots of thing Sony Ericsson can do to perfect the overall experience and make a customer happier. (software wise)

For Hardware wise there is only one complaint and it’s a serious one for the QWERTY keyboard :
I SERIOUSLY THINK THAT THE MATERIAL USE TO SUPPORT THE PHYSHYCAL KEYPAD WASN’T UP TO THE STANDARD AND IT’S OBVIOUSLY A DESIGN FLAW.

I sent back my X1 twice within one year to repair the QWERTY key pad. Generally, some of the keypad will start to show symptom within 3 months and others will follow.

Common symptoms are :
1. Once you pressed the button, but the character did not appear on screen .
2. You pressed the button once, but it appear 2 or 3 character on screen .
3. The soft-keypad will start to wear out from commonly used characters , for example space bar, dot(. ), and question mark(?), and other characters will also slowly develop the symptom described in point two and three.
4. The soft-keypad will start to wear out after few months of under normal usage. (i swear I’m not an avid SMSer..)

Guess what , if your device is out of warranty , it will cost you SGD80 to replace the support material without adding in the labour charge yet.
